Red Tent Schedule

Sisters! Red Tents are optional online gatherings. We meet in sisterhood via live video conference to discuss any and all aspects of the course, mentorship, parenting, and our journey as women.  You're invited to request Red Tent topics and to be a guest presenter.

We usually begin with a poem or meditation, and check-ins.  Despite the techy container, these are very real and alive.  Please join us!!!

At the top of our Facebook page is the schedule for upcoming Red Tents. This page offers a general description of our schedule.

Arrive five minutes early

Denise Thewissen

Red Tents are one hour long. For your first Red Tent, and any time you want to use your headset to speak in a Red Tent, please arrive FIVE MINUTES EARLY so that you'll have time to activate your microphone, which often takes some fiddling around. No worries if you can't arrive early, you will still be able to hear and see everything, and can type into the Chat Pods rather than speaking, which is what most of the students do anyway.

Attend as many or as few Red Tents as you like. I hope you'll join us often, it's a really cool way to connect. The course comes alive!

Our regular schedule

The following three times represent our baseline Red Tent Schedule.  It is subject to change.  I aim to offer one to three Red Tents each month.  Attend as many or as few as you like.  Most are recorded, so you can watch them if you miss.

Even after your end date for watching the Teaching Videos, JOYW aims to continue inviting students to the live Red Tents and to provide access to the Red Tent Video Library.

SPRING AND FALL CLOCK SHIFTS
As clocks shift twice as year, we will follow US clocks.  If you're not in the US or Canada, or if you are in Arizona (following Mountain time in the winter and Pacific time in the summer), your start times will shift twice a year.

I post the correct start times in the US, London, Sydney and Beijing for each upcoming Red Tent on our Facebook group.

The above start times are always correct for US and Canadian locations except Arizona.

The times shown are correct for most other locations from early March until late October. Starting sometime in October or November, most locations that do not observe DST and those in the southern hemisphere will start later.   The start times of northern hemisphere countries who observe DST such as the UK and Germany will fluctuate each spring and fall and then settle. Watch our Facebook group closely for the correct start times.

Watch for announcements on our Facebook group

The actual Red Tent schedule is announced on Facebook group - all the details such as date, time and topic for upcoming Red Tents.

For each upcoming Red Tent, I'll create a detailed post, usually 3 to 7 days in advance, describing the topic in more detail.

Changes to schedule, changes in passcodes, changes in links are all announced on our Facebook group.
